ALASKA ADVENTURES

Alaska has much to offer any adventurer however the
wildlife is its' best feature. With a human population of only 700,000 the mammal population alone is
more then twice that of people.
There are more then 200 species of fish, mammals, bird and
amphibians in Alaska. Only 10 species of animals in Alaska are listed as endangered the lowest of any
state.
Alaska has the larget shoreline of the states
combine and one of the largest variety of fish species. In Alaska's water (Salt and Freah) fish such
as trout, salmon, char, grayling, lampreys, lingdod, pike, and whitefish call Alaska their home.
Though mammals not fish Alaskan waters harbor over one-fifth of all the whale species in the world along
with 2 dolphin species.
Bears are the most common animals seen in Alaska:
there are five kinds of bare in Alaska, two are sub-species of the Brown, the other two are the Polar and
the Black. The Brown is the most popular of all bear species with over 98% of the US population
residing in Alaska.
When you visit Alaska you will see many other
animals like Bison, Deer, Moose and Elk all of which call Alaska their home. Many people forget that
the seamingly friendly wildlife can be dangerous. You must never touch wild animals. Though some
animals may approch you it is becase you have food or they have never see a human and do not have a fear of
you. You should always remember the animals where there first you came second. Please remember while
visiting Alaska not to litter and keep alaska green!
